The Care Leavers App is a digital service that helps local authorities support young people who are leaving care.
It provides care leavers with access to the information, advice and guidance they need - on their own devices, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Every local authority can customise their own app with content, design, branding and functionality. No two apps are the same.
And we encourage particpation with care leavers as part of every project to ensure co-production at all stages.
Our team will support you to achieve improved outcomes for your young people.
The App also includes a Secure Messaging service for leaving care teams to stay in touch with young people, safely and securely.
Messaging also supports the encrypted transfer of important files and documents, such as Pathway Plans and meeting minutes.
2022 will see more functionality added: including one-to-one Video Messaging and Digital Pathway Planning, helping to increase the participation of young people in planning their own futures and making it easier for them to have a voice.
The Care Leavers App is available for both iOS and Android.
The App meets ISO9001, ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials standards and also complies with the ICO's Age Appropriate Design Code.
